Ordered take out. They were running a little bit behind (busy Friday night so no big deal) but were so nice about it. 'Hey, noticed you've been waiting, can we take care of you?' And then they did. Quickly. Food was great. Service was even better. Wonderful people working there.
Stopped with my friends for a small bite during the Wheaton Cocoa Crawl and we loved it. I am so jazzed that we have a Sweetchilango in Wheaton for excellent Mexican food. Not your typical “Mexican” restaurant. It is unique, casual, whimsical, and clean. Fantastic service, even when ordering from the kiosk. We shared a Plato: Rice, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, tortilla, and our choice of guisado was chile relleno - Egg battered stuffed poblano pepper with cheese, tomato salsa, and sour cream. Very tasty and fresh. I will be back for a full meal and an adult beverage. Thank you Bien Trucha Group for choosing our town. Our first time here... And we had a awesome experience! Food is excellent! The server Ricky was super helpful in helping us navigate the menu with having a Gluten allergy. Thanks Ricky! We are coming back for sure! For those who have Celiac, this is a safe place to find good options to eat.
A great first time at this downtown Wheaton restaurant. We stopped in on a weekday for a late lunch. We were greeted immediately and guided through the ordering process. We chose to sit at the bar and our food was brought to us. Delicious Chili Relleno Tacos and Esquites. The corn tortillas are made in house. While talking with Sergio, one of the wait staff, he told us about the cocktail menu and how the margaritas, sangria, and other cocktails were made from fresh ingredients (not a store-bought mixer). We sampled a few of the drinks and were very impressed with the quality (and the price - 8.99/ea.). We will definitely be back. A shout out to Sergio! It was my first time here at Sweet Chilango and I am very impressed! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and they had no problem with helping me order. The food was brought quickly and the presentation of the food was very nice as was the taste. the Tortillas reminded me of Mexico they are definitely authentic. The workers were so sweet and even brought my purse to my car after I had forgotten it in the restaurant! Overall 10/10 experience for me!
